There are more than 1.4 billion people in the world that live below the poverty line. Most of us have no idea what that truly looks like. To give Americans a tiny glimpse into extreme poverty, Live Below the Line is "a campaign that's changing the way people think about poverty—and making
a huge difference—by challenging everyday people to live on the
equivalent of the extreme poverty line for 5 days."
That's spending $1.50 per day for food.
Wow.
A friend from Wscal is taking this challenge next M-F. She even created a menu plan.
Check it out here.
It's pretty incredible.
What do you think?
I am always up for a challenge so I'd really like to participate.
I'm going to go discuss it with the hubs as we take our feverish boy outside (he's been begging to bring his lawnmower into the yard).
Let me know if your family decides to participate.
And let's all be praying for Christ to come back soon - let's end this suffering!
Come, Lord Jesus, Come.
